In 1988, Peace Fest, which was held at Chicago's Lincoln Park, took place over three days. July 29th through the 31st. The fest had a large group of punk and alt bands play across the weekend. Some short-lived local bands like pre-Red Red Meat band Friends Of Betty, who only released one album in 1988, and then you had some bands that are still together to the current day like Screeching Weasel.
